Happy New Year
Well, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Mine was fantastic. I got everything I wanted, my parents made it to my house safely (they live in Washington state, and I live in Michigan,) and we had a white Christmas--the first I've seen since 1996.
We haven't had much snow this year, which, for an area that sees an average of 96 inches annually, is really strange. But Mother Nature came through and delivered an inch late Christmas Eve. Here is a picture from our front window on Christmas morning:

And a goofy picture of my son with his work of art--his gingerbread house:

Anyway, I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas, and I'm sending you heartfelt wishes for a fantastic New Year. Be safe!
Your Christmas Name
My Christmas name is Frosty Berry-Noodles. My husband is Bouncey Berry-Noodles. But it could be worse. Try Wriggly Horny-Elf, like my mom. Snicker, snicker.

Holiday Season!
Pages Written: Christmas, of course!
Mood: Happy, happy, happy
I ADORE the holiday season, which for me begins with Halloween. I enjoy Thanksgiving, but this year I had a quiet one. My husband's boat schedule changed, which meant that we couldn't drive to Wisconsin to be with his family. Instead, he cooked (isn't that awesome?
) and my son and I put up Christmas decorations and sipped eggnog. Mine was nicely spiked, of course!
And speaking of spiked, I found a wonderful website called The Virtual Bar. The website lists the top 100 popular drinks--along with the recipes. Yes, on the list you can find tasty treasures like the ever popular "Cameltoe," and "1-900-FUK-MEUP." My personal favorite is the "24K Nightmare," which contains Goldschlager, Jagermeister, Rumplemintz, and rum. It's like a drink made up of weird little European dwarves...
Anyway, might be a good resource for those needing to keep their characters up on the latest bar drinks. And even if you aren't a writer, well, you'll get some really tasty drink recipes!
You can search for drinks and recipes by ingredient, drink type, favorites, etc. There are also handy tips, tricks, lessons about glassware and brands of alcohol, and best of all--advice on how to ease and prevent hangovers! Yay!
Okay, I've done my duty and updated my Soapbox page, and just so you know, I also updated the Myths section on the Doggie Bag page. Amazingly enough, I didn't screw anything up. It'll look funny until I add another myth in January, but it'll have to do!
Happy Holidays!
