07/07/2005: "Thursday"

Well, I've made hotel reservations for evacuation on Sunday morning. I'm getting ready to get out and beat the masses to Wal-Mart and Lowe's. Then I get to start packing and getting the house prepared. I'm still hoping I don't have to evacuate, but I'd say there's only about a 10% chance of that. (Yes, the number is pulled out of my butt.)

To all my British writer friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope all of you are safe!

Ohhh, I'm sorry to hear about the evacuation (and the birds and the trees). I guess hell encompasses quite a bit more territory than I'd originally imagined, huh?

How soon do you get to move away from there?
